• Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the Board of Commissioners of the Stonebridge Neighborhood Improvement and Beautification District, Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana will be held at its regular meeting place, the Stonebridge Country Club, located at 1500 Stonebridge Dr., Gretna, LA on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage is $978,145.65, and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $21,301.50.

* Clarification

On November 18, 2017, the voters of the Stonebridge Neighborhood Improvement and Beautification District approved a 45-mill tax for 20 years beginning January 1, 2018. Without the knowledge or consent of SNIBD, the millage rate was reduced to 44.02 mills by the Jefferson Parish Council. The Parish acknowledged the reduction of SNIBD’s millage rate was in error; however, to return the millage rate to the 45 mills as approved by the voters, SNIBD is required to adjust the millage back to 45 mills. The matter will be fully discussed at a public meeting on July 27, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
